Fabulous and Fruity Summer Salsa Recipes

Anyone who’s been to a Mexican restaurant knows the spicy-cool flavor of basic red salsa—tomato, onion, cilantro, and the punch of a chile pepper or two.  Classic salsa is a vibrant and cool side dish all year long, but Mexican food can be heavy for warm summer weather.  That’s why, in the spirit of the season, Kyocera gives salsa a summer makeover.

When you think about it, the main ingredient in classic salsa is tomato—a fruit.  So what happens when fresh summer fruit steps on to salsa’s center stage?  The result can be a zesty and refreshing condiment, perfectly paired with fish, poultry, or standing alone as a side dish.  The possibilities might surprise you!

Have fun trying these fruit salsa recipes, or experiment with your own favorite fruits.  And what’s better—Kyocera advanced ceramic knives make prep work a breeze!  Kyocera’s Santoku knife is perfect for chopping fresh fruits and veggies easily and evenly.  Try our paring knife for more intricate tasks, such as seeding and mincing small peppers.  Before long, you’ll be the sultan of summer salsa!
