Throw an Unrivaled Super Bowl Party

It’s official: In what promises to be a showdown for the record books, the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers will face off in Super Bowl XLV.  If you’ll be joining the more than 90 million expected viewers, why not throw a Super Bowl party to rival this highly anticipated matchup?  All you need are good friends and a great party dip.

Tired of boring packaged ranch dip?  Try this crowd-pleasing Super Bowl recipe for Kyocera’s rockin’ roast beef taco dip.  This dip is hearty and meaty—perfect for hungry football fans.  What also makes this recipe so great is its versatility.  Don’t like olives?  Leave them out!  Want a spicier dip?  Go with a spicy salsa or add some hot sauce.  Not a roast beef fan?  Substitute chicken or ground beef or turkey.  The possibilities are endless, and each possibility creates a flavor your friends are sure to love!

Whether you’re cheering on the black or the green in the game, slap an apron over your team jersey and go for the gold!

ROCKIN’ ROAST BEEF TACO DIP

INGREDIENTS:

2 cans roast beef with gravy (12 oz each, undrained)

1 package taco seasoning

1 small can chopped black olives

1 jar favorite salsa

Onion, to taste, chopped with Kyocera’s chef’s knife

Cheddar cheese, grated

Bag tortilla chips

Sour cream, optional

Hot sauce, optional

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl, mix together first five ingredients.  For a spicier dip, include the optional hot sauce.  Using a separate bowl or plate, coarsely crush some of the tortilla chips.  Layer dip in a baking dish, starting with a layer of crushed tortilla chips, then a layer of meat mixture, and finally a layer of cheese.  Repeat layers.  Bake for 30 minutes.

Serve dip with tortilla chips and a side of sour cream.
